New Home Primitive Baptist closed many years ago. It is now used for special men’s services monthly and it has a prayer place behind it called the Prayer Log. The Prayer Log dates back decades and was originally located north of Peterman, AL.
New Home was one of several Primitive Baptist Churches located in Monroe County. It is the only one of the buildings that is not either being used by another congregation or torn down.
