Dating back to 1858

Having roots first in Claiborne and then Perdue Hill.

Originally met in the Methodist Church at Claiborne.

First named St. James

Met in Masonic Hall till 1872.

Went approximately 20 years that services were only held occasionally.

In 1895 a new building was built at Perdue Hill. Building was demolished in Perdue Hill in the 1940’s.

Members had moved to Monroeville by 1920’s and started having services.
